Rest in Peace Donna Summer and Guess Who Came to Play Tag?

Hey guys, it’s me, Chuckles, the farm dog/staff writer.

I was resting my eyes.tag blog game, Chuckles the farm dog, nature, creative writing, event

My best bud, Roose, was also resting his cockle-doodle-doos!

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Cedric, from Implicado runs over and tags me! He was in a hurry, said something about a Popocatépetl Volcano erupting and quickly ran off again!

Thanks Cedric for the game of tag!! See ya!

Of course, my boss, Sunshine, heard all the commotion and told me to stop napping and get writing for this tag game post.

“Pronto,” she yelled!

Humph. She’s waaay too bossy, guys!

I decided to just rest my head down for a few minutes and boom, Claudia, from Pathfinder: MotherWifeStudentWorder, gently shakes me awake and whispers, “tagged, you’re it!”

What?? Who? Again?? Wha . . . am I dreaming? But . . .??

Erm, thank you, Claudia for waking me, really, and I appreciate your game of tag too!

Oh-oh. Now I’m hearing threats from Sunshine that my dinner is on hold until I get this game back out to you!

Oh, dear me . . .  NOT hold dinner!!!

Better get going. Here are (my revised) rules for  Tag – you’re it!’

  1. You must post these rules.
  2. Each person must post 11 five things about him/herself on their blog. Answer the questions the “tagger” listed for you in their post, and
  3. . . . create 11 five new questions for the people you tag to answer.
  4. Choose 11 one to five people to tag and link to them in the post.
  5. Let each blogger know that you have tagged them.

11 5 things about us (me & Sunshine) you simply must know:

1. We both breathe in oxygen.

2.  We love our junk food.

3. We enjoy breaking  revising tag game rules . . .

4. We delight in drinking coffee (her) and me, I LOVE chasing down skunks, rabbits and birds . . .

Cedric’s question for us me, Chuckles:

Do you have an unfulfilled wish, what is it, and do you plan to reach for it?

Yes, Cedric, my unfulfilled wish is, I hope to catch a skunk before it sprays me with its gosh-awful perfume! All I want to do is play a decent game of tag!! You got any nice skunks over there in Mexico???

Claudia’s question for us:

1 Without three things you would be lost?

air, food, water … we need these 3 things and so do you!

2 If you could be famous for one thing, what would it be?

horse jockey for Sunshine and me, famous rock singer in a famous rock n roll band.

3 If you only could listen to one song for the next month, what song would that be? **Update** The classy and beautiful singer, Donna Summer, passed away on May 17, 2012…may she rest in peace and God’s blessings and peace to her family.

4 What started you blogging in the first place?

We both love and thrive on attention and suffer from the awful disease called, Need Constant Attention, NCA, for short. Our physician and vet prescribed blogging at least once a day.

5 If you could have your own tv channel, what would it be about?

Hmm, maybe something about charming folks who make life easier for other people? We could call it, LifeGivers.

6 What is your favorite season? And why?

Summer. We love the sun and water.

7 Do you like flowers better or trees?

 Both!

8 If you could own a famous painting (or any other art object), which one would that be?

Since it’s Sunshine’s last dance, we would need Renoir’s beautiful painting:

last dance, tag game, random, image, painting, event, renoir,

–Dance in The City by Renoir

9 There is only one person like yourself. Name something about you that makes you unique!

I’m a simple farm dog and I blog.

Sunshine is a simple person with a simple farm dog that writes on her blog.

10 Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous?

We both are very, very, free-spirited. So, let’s dance!!

11 Would you rather be a movie actor or a (rock)star on the stage?

If you heard my singing barking all night, you would sign me onto your rock band.

If you heard Sunshine singing, you will beg her to be a non-singing, movie actor.

Our 11 4 tag players:

1. Ansuyo

2.Francine

What We Can Do Together

Weekly Photo Challenge: Together.

Weekly Photo Challenge, Together, No end, charming moment, love, friendship

There is no end to what we can do together . . .

Paul McCartney–With a Little Luck

I believe how well we learn to play together as children develops into how well we interact together as adults.

Children consistently shown examples of sharing and being content in their home life, usually show the same behavior in public. Of course, there are some children who find sharing and playing together in a peaceful way a challenge to their inner nature.

Yes, one can usually spot the child destined to become the class president, the successful business person, the librarian and the future inmate at the state prison.

Just observe any nursery day care classroom.

You will have the gifted orator with non-stop chattering, another child setting up shop and preparing meals to sell to you as you sit there trying to look interested and sipping on the sixty or so pretend coffee cup filled with air coffee, and yet another very quiet child, always reading over at the book corner, and the one child, you know, has huge needs longer than your arms can hold.

But, broken children is another story in itself.

Today, we focus on learning togetherness hopefully early in life.

“That’s mine!”

“Nooo, mine!”

“MINE,” and with a push and a shove, a child’s more aggressive nature always wins over the more timid and mild-acting child.

Learning to share and wait our turn is not easy. Hopefully, as parents, teachers and caregivers we can stay focused long enough to teach our children consistent lessons in learning how to wait patiently.

But it all begins at home.

Instead of reaching for a dish at the dinner table, perhaps asking politely to have the dish passed to you, would be a good example to the young child trying to learn how to wait.

I’m sure you can think on many other examples on teaching the fine art of waiting.

Oh, and if we, as adults are envious and desirous for every new product we encounter through successful marketing ads, don’t be surprise if your little junior–who maybe only three years old–runs from child to child in the nursery, attempting to grab every new toy from the hands of these other children.

It’s not that they WANT the toy to play with, they simply WANT it to WANT IT!

And may I simply ask, where oh, where did that behavior come from?? Hmm?

How we learn to play together in-the-sandbox, pretty much indicates how well we will work and play with others as adults.

You agree or disagree?? All together now . . .

Flying With Angels

Angels fly because they take themselves lightly.

~G.K. Chesterton

Angels fascinate me.

I often wonder what it would feel like to fly.

No, I’m not talking about flying in a plane or chopper. Let me draw a simple word picture.

I would like to be standing around, let’s say, at the grocery checkout line, be minding my own business, and attempting with all my might to focus on something productive. I read somewhere that the time we spend waiting in lines is the perfect opportunity to carry on a deep conversation with God.

Perfect.

So, in my mind, as I wait in line, God and I are talking.

Productive, right?

I usually ask Him to bless every person in my line and the cashier who will be waiting on me.

If the lines are super long and I’m still waiting, I keep talking and get as much blessings for everyone around me until I reach my destination.

Bless line 3, still waiting, bless line 4, still waiting and suddenly . . . you see me gracefully lifting off the ground!

That’s what I’m talking about!!  Nothing major. Just a couple of inches off the ground.

Simply levitating for a few minutes!

You know some people in history had this incredible experience, right?

Saint Francis of Assisi is one famous person recorded to have “suspended above the earth, often to a height of three, and often to a height of four cubits.”

Amazing, right?

Okay, some of you may think, well, has anyone seen levitation going on with any person outside the Christian faith?

Why, yes!

Nagendrantu Bhaduri was a saint from India who mastered several Yogic techniques and would enter into a state of “ecstatic calm” and then, levitate.

Well, what do you think? Possible, or are these just made up stories?

Hmm, I’ve got some ways to go before I learn to take myself lightly,so, perhaps it would be better if I just catch you if you happen to fall as you go out and enjoy a flight with the Angels.

Have yourself a simply charming flight!

I’ll be right here.
