Dear Reader,
Today’s temperatures around here are still hotter than a mouth full of jalapeño peppers–and that is HOT! Oh, what to do, what to do??
How about a few, it is so hot jokes to cool things down:
It is sooo hot, I saw squirrels fanning their nuts…
- farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs…
- the cows are now giving evaporated milk…
- even the sun is looking for some shade…
- water in public swimming pools is evaporating so fast that children are encouraged to swim in the deep end and keep ignoring the, “no peeing” rule!
This one is way too funny…
“It was so hot…all the corn on the stalks started popping and flying through the air. The cows thought it was snowing, and they froze to death!”
This has nothing to do with temperature but everything to do about my obsession about blogging and um, perhaps yours too?
An obsessed blogger’s mantra…
“Thou art to me a delicious torment.”
Oh, how delicious it is to be tormented by something that fuels your creativity, keeps you up half the night as a lover would with an insatiable appetite. Give me more and more words, more images or whatever it is that has you passionately pouring your heart out onto your blank, clean page.
It is all because, like Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “Our chief want in life, is somebody who shall make us do what we can.”

Writing is a ‘somebody’ as it can make you do what you can and for me, it is ever Gentle on My Mind. (I know, I mentioned this song in yesterday’s post, but Gentle on My Mind is such a classic country song with clever lyrics–not usually found in today’s music…I cannot help but mention it again…just saying, dear reader.)
Oh, we have to pray for Glen Campbell because he recently cancelled his love for singing and touring due to his Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis…what a legend…what a performer…
Okay Reader, let us be thankful to the fine folks over at: Hot Temp Jokes for supplying the laughs that cooled things down a bit.
Now, time to continue on with our ‘hot’ blogging life…carry on dear Readers!!
****
Has blogging become your delicious ‘hot’ torment…yet?
