Weekly Photo Challenge: Purple

Lay it out in lavender…the beautiful pale purple flower that grows abundantly without asking for much care except a bit of sunlight, water and occasionally fertilizer. I am so grateful to have lavender thriving in the yard.

This week with Jenny Joseph:

“When I am an old woman I shall wear PURPLE
With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter.”

This sounds like the perfect old woman I plan to strive for. Ha! Cheers!

Hurry over to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Purple and check out all the wonderful contributors to this week’s theme: PURPLE.

Where Dirt Roads Meet Country Skies

country road, road, sunday post, nature, goat, photograph, blogging, 2012

Hey Y’all! Hope this finds you in great spirits and hey, if you ever need inspiration or simply great graphics, hitch up the horses and ride yourself over to Jakesprinter’s weekly SUNDAY POST : Road. This week the theme is ROAD. I love dirt roads, country roads, erm, any roads that the only potential traffic jam is a herd of goats.

What type of roads do you fancy?

Take care and please, do not run over the goats!

Just Dance!

GO…

Ball gown, tailcoat, dancing shoes, 5minute Friday, dance, event, creative writing,

I once read to have a charmed life, you got to dance. Dance as though no one is watching you.

Just dance.

Free the heart from all the daily webs  and break free from the chains that hold back our creativity…

Just dance.

donna summer’s last dance…george michaels’s father figure

put on the music and

just dance…

in the yard, on the street, heck, just dance anywhere and with anyone you meet.

slow dancing under the stars…how, oh, so very romantic–

dancing in the street with the first person you meet

just dance.

You say you can’t find the beat…just take the first step and close your eyes

dream the ballroom scene with a hundred dancers

swirling and twirling–you and the beat…

beautiful long gowns and dancing shoes

just dance until your heart

is free.
